Mutate IO Game Review

Mutate.io (mutatio should you choose) is a multiplayer game identical to agar.io. It is a game where you control a creature that can be modified, fed, or grown and then used to attack other players.
This game was developed to participate in this jam, the Pygame Community New Years jam (theme mutation) The game was my attempt in the jam to study networking, and test game design habits which I’m not used to (e.g. Global state).
Currently the only server is the one I’m currently running on: 34.76.77.52, which I’ll probably keep up for at least a month when the software is released. The max number of concurrent clients is allowed to be 10.

Versions explained:version 1.0.1 was released prior to the conclusion of the jamversion 1.0.2 added some small bug fixes to the server.py files that were related to sudden disconnections of clients. disconnections”slim” versions compiled versions that I’ve attempted to remove the DLLs and folders in files that I believe is necessary for the application to function.
